(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A pipe that broke due to the frigid temperatures led to the Ocean County Justice Complex being partially evacuated Monday.<\/p>\n<p>According to county officials, the sprinkler pipe located in the outside overhang in the building\u2019s outdoor atrium area apparently froze as a result of the ongoing sub-freezing temperatures. As it thawed, it broke, and began to leak \u201ca substantial amount of water,\u201d officials said.\u00a0The water was immediately shutoff as the leak was being isolated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe building was closed while the cleanup was underway,\u201d said Ocean County Administrator Carl W. Block.<\/p>\n<p>The complex, which houses the Ocean County Sheriff\u2019s Department and a number of courtrooms and Superior Court functions, was evacuated after the fire alarms sounded as a result of being triggered by sensors when the pipe broke.
