(Credit: Macy\u2019s)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Macy\u2019s will open a \u201cstore within a store\u201d at the Ocean County Mall, an outlet-style portion of the popular department store featuring lower priced items and frequent sales.<\/p>\n<p>Known as Macy\u2019s Backstage, the store will open March 24, a company representative told Shorebeat.\u00a0The new outlet store will have approximately17,200 square feet of dedicated retail space and will be located on the second level inside the full-line <span class=\"il\">Macy<\/span>\u2019s.\u00a0 The grand opening will be celebrated with giveaways for the first 200 customers and special events throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur customers are excited about the Macy\u2019s Backstage shopping experience,\u201d said Michelle Israel, Macy\u2019s Senior Vice President of Off Price, in a statement. \u201cMacy\u2019s Backstage Ocean County was designed to bring great deals and the fun of the hunt into our existing Toms River location.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The store will sell \u201crecognizable brands\u201d at discount prices.\u00a0Seven free-standing <span class=\"il\">Backstage<\/span> stores opened in the Northeast and San Antonio, TX in 2015 and 2016. Since then, <span class=\"il\">Macy<\/span>\u2019s has opened more than 40 store-within-store locations, allowing customers to shop both merchandise offerings in one trip to their local mall. There are currently 52 <span class=\"il\">Macy<\/span>\u2019s <span class=\"il\">Backstage<\/span> locations across the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The store will celebrate its opening by offering\u00a0the first 200 customers to arrive a \u201cScratch, Win, Smile\u201d scratch-off card!
