{"id":1928,"date":"2018-04-30T16:59:02","date_gmt":"2018-04-30T20:59:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shorebeat.com\/tomsriver\/?p=1928"},"modified":"2018-04-30T16:59:02","modified_gmt":"2018-04-30T20:59:02","slug":"cops-local-couple-ran-drug-manufacturing-facility-had-loaded-gun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shorebeat.com\/tomsriver\/2018\/04\/cops-local-couple-ran-drug-manufacturing-facility-had-loaded-gun\/","title":{"rendered":"Cops: Local Couple Ran Drug Manufacturing Facility, Had Loaded Gun"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_12715\" style=\"width: 488px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/brick.shorebeat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Jason-Andrew-Bacon.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12715\" class=\"wp-image-12715 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/brick.shorebeat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Jason-Andrew-Bacon-e1525121667578.jpg\" alt=\"Jason Andrew Bacon (Photo: Ocean County Jail)\" width=\"478\" height=\"457\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-12715\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jason Andrew Bacon (Photo: Ocean County Jail)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A Brick couple has been arrested and charged with various drug offenses after police raided their Brick home and another building in Clayton Borough, Gloucester County.<\/p>\n<p>Jason Andrew Bacon, 35, of the 400 block of\u00a0Laurel Brook Drive, in Brick, and\u00a0and Kim Christopher, 31, of Toms River, were charged after properties in the two towns were searched following a four month-long investigation, the Ocean County Prosecutor\u2019s Office said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The drug-making facility was allegedly being operated out of the residence at 1111 North Delsea Drive, Clayton, and a\u00a0greenhouse structure just outside the residence where detectives seized 38 marijuana plants, over five (5) pounds of\u00a0previously cultivated marijuana, THC wax, U.S currency, and a loaded .25 caliber Beretta handgun.<\/p>\n<p>Both Bacon and Christopher are charged with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintaining a drug Manufacturing Facility (1st degree)<\/li>\n<li>Possession of drugs with Intent to Distribute (2nd degree)<\/li>\n<li>Possession of Over 50 grams of marijuana (4th degree)<\/li>\n<li>Possession of cocaine (3rd degree)<\/li>\n<li>Possession of drug paraphernalia<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a firearm during a drug offense (2nd degree)<\/li>\n<li>Unlawful possession of a weapon (2nd degree)<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose (2nd degree).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As a result of the Clayton search warrant, Bacon is charged additionally with<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintaining a drug Manufacturing Facility (1st degree)<\/li>\n<li>Possession of drugs with intent to distribute (1st degree) (Marijuana plants)<\/li>\n<li>Possession of drugs with Intent to Distribute (1st degree) (cultivated marijuana)<\/li>\n<li>Possession of Over 50 grams of Marijuana (4th degree)<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining a Fortified Structure (boards across entrances) during a drug offense (3rd degree).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Property was seized as part of the investigation, including\u00a0a 2013 BMW i125 (approximate value $20,500), a 1999 Ford F-250 (approximate value $10,000), and the 1111\u00a0North Delsea Drive residence.<\/p>\n<p>Bacon is lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
