The owner of the Dover Mall shopping center, also known as the Crossroads Mall, will propose an addition to the Toms River planning board next month.<\/p>\n

The shopping center, which houses the busy Shop-Rite supermarket, is located at the intersection of routes 166 and 37. Parking is often at a premium.<\/p>\n

The proposal by\u00a0DAN-D Inc., the corporate owner of the shopping center, is proposing an approximately 10,860 square foot addition to the existing Shop-Rite store together, with a parking lot expansion. The planning board application did not detail how the space will be utilized or how many new parking spaces will be added.<\/p>\n

DAN-D will seek a variance from the board for its minimum side yard setback requirement of 15 feet. The developer is proposing 8.8 feet.<\/p>\n

The hearing will be held Aug. 1 at 6 p.m. at the township municipal complex on Washington Street.<\/p>\n
