(Photos: File\/TRPD)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Toms River police have charged a local man with trying to extort $25,000 from township resident and former \u201cJersey Shore\u201d star Jenni \u201cJWoww\u201d Farley.<\/p>\n<p>According to police spokeswoman Jillian Messina, Farley told police on Monday that an ex-boyfriend, identified as Thomas Lippolis, of Hazlet, had attempted to extort $25,000 from her in exchange for not divulging secrets to the media about her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis information had been given to Farley through her publicist who had initially received a phone call from Lippolis demanding the money,\u201d Messina said.<\/p>\n<p>Farley and Lippolis had dated for close to a year approximately ten years ago, police said.
