Bell (Photo: Ocean County Jail)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A Toms River man has been charged with sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 13, authorities announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Robert E. Bell, 28, is accused of maintaining a sexual relationship with the girl since June. Investigators from the Toms River police department and Ocean County Prosecutor&#8217;s Office began investigating Bell on Feb. 11 after the situation was brought to their attention, and filed charges Feb. 15.<\/p>\n<p>Bell is charged with four counts of aggravated sexual assault, five counts of sexual assault and seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending, said Jillian Messina, Toms River police spokeswoman.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who has additional information concerning the matter is being asked to contact Toms River Police Detective Tom Grosse at 732-349-0150, extension 1263.<\/p>\n<p>Bell is currently being lodged in the Ocean County Jail.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fcbkbttn_buttons_block\" id=\"fcbkbttn_left\"><div class=\"fb-share-button fcbkbttn_large_button \" data-href=\"https:\/\/shorebeat.com\/tomsriver\/2019\/02\/cops-toms-river-man-28-sexually-assaulted-young-girl\/\" data-type=\"button_count\" data-size=\"large\"><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Toms River man has been charged with sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 13, authorities announced Tuesday.
