(Photo: TRPD)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Toms River police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Thursday morning at a Bank of America branch on Route 37, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Police were dispatched to the Bank of America at Bananier and Route 37 for a report of a bank robbery at 10:15 a.m, said police spokeswoman Jillian Messina. According to Messina, the suspect entered the bank and demanded money from the teller, stating he had a gun.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There was no weapon shown and the suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash,&#8221; Messina said.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5&#8217;8 to 5&#8217;10 with a medium build. He was wearing a gray Polo hooded sweatshirt, gray and black gloves, a tan baseball hat, sunglasses, a camouflage bandana over his face, and carrying a leopard print bag.<\/p>\n<p>The Toms River Police Detective Bureau, Ocean County Sheriff&#8217;s Department CSI and Berkeley police were on scene to investigate the incident. The Investigation is ongoing, Messina said.
