(Photo: TRPD)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Toms River police said Sunday they were investigating two separate incidents over the weekend during which a man tried to lure children into his SUV.<\/p>\n<p>According to police spokeswoman Jillian Messina, the incidents occurred at about 4:45 p.m. Saturday. Multiple police units responded to the Georgetown section of Toms River to investigate; the first incident occurred at Chippewa Drive and Apache Drive while\u00a0 the second incident was nearby in the area of Shawnee Drive.<\/p>\n<p>In both interactions, the children removed themselves from the situation and notified their parents, who contacted the police.\u00a0 Police are continuing to investigate the reports, and remain in the area with extra patrols.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect was described as a white male, heavy set, with a bald head and goatee facial hair, wearing a light gray or white top. He was operating a light gray or silver\/champagne SUV in the area, possibly attempting to lure children to his vehicle.
