The week will begin with sometimes-heavy rain before a small amount of snow falls at the Jersey Shore.<\/p>\n

While North Jersey and New York may see several inches of snow between Tuesday and Wednesday, the Shore area will mainly stick to rain, as is often the case. According to the National Weather Service, the high temperature Monday will be an unseasonably warm 58 degrees, albeit accompanied with rain \u2013 heavy at times \u2013 between a half and three quarters of an inch.<\/p>\n

The rain will continue into Tuesday, the NWS forecast says, though there may be a break from about 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday will be even warmer than Monday, with highs reaching into the 60s before a cold front plunges the mercury near the freezing mark at night. Rain will change to snow at about 4 a.m. Wednesday, adding up to about a half-inch. The wintry mix will continue Wednesday morning, before changing back to all rain by 10 a.m.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s another chance for snow on Wednesday night, however there will be little to no accumulation. The high Wednesday, during the day, will be 44, the NWS says. Thursday\u2019s high will be just 33 degrees, with overnight lows down into the 20s.<\/p>\n

The good news: despite the cold temperatures, the sun will emerge on Thursday with almost no clouds.<\/p>\n
