According to police spokeswoman Jillian Messina, Richard Wisniewski, 55 of Toms River was traveling south on Fischer Boulevard in the right lane when his vehicle struck the curb just south of Matso Drive, then a fire hydrant, a street sign, and finally a utility pole before coming to a rest at the base of the pole.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Wisniewski was checked by Toms River EMS and refused further medical attention. He was issued a summons for careless driving. The accident is being investigated by Toms River Police Officer Dan Burke.<\/p>\n<p>The second accident occurred at 1:11 p.m., when police were dispatched to 163 Route 37 West for reports of a car having crashed into a building.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Dimino, 71 of Berkley, told officers that as he was pulling into a parking space in the lot of Community Surgical Supply, his foot slipped off the brake pedal causing his vehicle to accelerate over the curb and into the building.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>The Toms River Fire Department and Toms River Building Department also responded to the scene and posted the building unsafe. There were no injuries reported.<\/p>\n<p>Dimino was issued a summons for careless driving.
