The quick actions of the man\u2019s son, however, may be the reason he is still alive, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Police were called to Genoa Drive just after 6 p.m. Thursday, said police spokeswoman Jillian Messina, when they found the man trapped under his pickup truck.<\/p>\n<p>Juan Grandados-Chavez, 40, of Toms River was reportedly working on his Chevrolet Silverado in his driveway when it rolled off the ramps and landed on him. He was found by his wife pinned under the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Grandados-Chavez\u2019s son, Pablo, \u201cran to his father\u2019s assistance while the family called 9-1-1,\u201d Messina said.<\/p>\n<p>His son told officers that he utilized a floor jack to lift the passenger side of the vehicle up, then dragged his father out from underneath the vehicle just prior to police arrival.<\/p>\n<p>Toms River Police EMS and MONOC paramedics ultimately responded to the scene.
