She is also facing weapons charges.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement released by the Ocean County Prosecutor\u2019s Office Wednesday night, police discovered Stochel\u2019s body in his home Feb. 24 after receiving a report of an unresponsive male at his address. The death was ruled a homicide the following day.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators found that Carbone and Stochel both resided at the 6th Avenue residence in Manchester, and that several household items were allegedly used by Carbone in the commission of the murder. Specially, a tape dispenser and a shower rod were recovered from the scene, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe injuries sustained by Mr. Stochel were consistent with the implementation of these items,\u201d the statement said. \u201cFurther investigation ultimately determined that Carbone was the individual responsible for Mr. Stochel\u2019s death.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carbone was arrested Wednesday and transported to the Ocean County Jail where she is lodged pending a detention hearing.<\/p>\n<p>The Ocean County Prosecutor\u2019s Office, Manchester police and the Ocean County Sheriff\u2019s Office conducted the joint investigation. They were assisted by out-of-state agencies, including the Santa Rosa County, Fla. Sherriff\u2019s Office Crime Scene Unit, Westchester County, N.Y. Police Department, and Oneida County, N.Y.
