(Photo: Ocean County)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Ocean County&#8217;s drive-through COVID-19 testing site at Ocean County College will reduce its hours beginning Monday, May 11, officials announced.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have noticed the number of appointments being made for the site have been decreasing so we need to adjust the site schedule,&#8221; said Ocean County Public Health Coordinator Daniel Regenye. &#8220;The college drive thru testing site has gone very smoothly and we review the operations there weekly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Testing will be done at the site by appointment on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The new hours will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.<\/p>\n<p>The testing site opened last month.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are adjusting the hours at this time,&#8221; Regenye said. &#8220;Should we need to make changes again in the future we will do so.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The testing requirements remain the same:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You must be an Ocean County resident and have identification.<\/li>\n<li>You must have a healthcare practitioner script.<\/li>\n<li>You must make an online appointment at www.ochd.org.<\/li>\n<li>You must be symptomatic.<\/li>\n<li>Entry to the college site is from the Hooper Avenue entrance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any practitioner (including a nurse practitioner, advanced practice nurse, medical doctor, physician assistant, and others) who has &#8220;prescriptive&#8221; privileges in New Jersey can write a script for COVID testing \u2013 it does not necessarily have to be a physician.<\/p>\n<p>Prescriptions can obtained through telemedicine services offered by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hackensackmeridianhealth.org\/covid19\/\">Hackensack-Meridian Health<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.RWJBHtelemed.org\">RWJ Barnabas Health<\/a>.
