(Credit: NWS)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Shore area is in for a deluge of rain on Wednesday as a strong cold front will push through the region, bringing thunderstorms and gusty winds.<\/p>\n<p>According to the National Weather Service, there will be a chance of showers Wednesday morning, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. A quarter-inch of rain is expected to fall during the daytime hours, except in areas where thunderstorms may produce higher amounts of precipitation. The high will be 58 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>The heaviest rain will arrive during the evening and nighttime hours. Showers and thunderstorms will be present Wednesday night, and an additional 1-2 inches of rain is expected to fall, with temperatures dropping into the mid-40s. The rain will continue Thursday morning until about 11 a.m., the NWS said, with another tenth to quarter-inch of rainfall expected.<\/p>\n<p>Temperatures will dip following the front&#8217;s passage, with Thursday&#8217;s high reaching just 47 degrees and the overnight low dropping to 31 degrees.
