Daniels Friday. Williams was charged following an incidents which occurred in Lakewood during the evening hours of April 17, 2021, into the early morning hours of April 18.<\/p>\n<p>According to prosecutors, Lakewood police were called to a residence on Lisa Robyn Circle to look into a report of an alleged disturbance at about 7 p.m. April 17. \u00a0As responding officers were attempting to make contact with Williams at the residence, he allegedly attacked the officers with a knife, wounding both officers in the head and face, a statement from the Ocean County Prosecutors Office said.<\/p>\n<p>Williams then allegedly barricaded himself in the residence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter all efforts to effectuate Williams\u2019 peaceful surrender were exhausted, the Lakewood Township Police Department Special Response Team \u2013 with assistance from the Ocean County Regional SWAT team \u2013 made a tactical entry into the residence at approximately 2:30 a.m. on April 18, 2021,\u201d the statement said. \u201cAs officers made entry into the residence, Williams allegedly discharged a BB gun in the officers\u2019 direction, striking one of them. \u00a0The officers in question were treated for their injuries, which were determined to be non-life-threatening.<\/p>\n<p>Williams was ultimately taken into custody, and has been lodged in the Ocean County Jail since his arrest on April 18.
