This week, Toms River officials said crews demolishing the former Joey Harrison\u2019s Surf Club property got a bit more than they bargained for when knocking down the iconic Shore nightspot.<\/p>\n

Several tons of concrete that was left over from a previous portion of the club<\/a> that was destroyed during the 1992 \u2018Christmas Storm\u2019 and then largely forgotten about, were exposed. Initially, the find was made by ground-penetrating radar, then confirmed by heavy equipment operators.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what\u2019s left of this relic of decades not-quite-so past, and perhaps a final view of the terminal vestiges of a place where so many great memories were made.<\/p>\n
