(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A real estate developer has proposed 24 apartments to be constructed on the property of a new shopping center in the Silverton section of Toms River.<\/p>\n<p>The township\u2019s Board of Adjustment will take up the matter at its Feb. 10 meeting. Because the shopping center is located in the High Business (HB) zone, a use variance is required before any residential development can take place. That requires the developer to meet positive and negative criteria for the proposal, and receive a supermajority vote from the Board of Adjustment, commonly known as the zoning board.<\/p>\n<p>The developer is being represented by attorney Joseph D. Coronato.
