A subsequent investigation local and county law enforcement revealed that both victims were Elkins\u2019 children.<\/p>\n<p>It was further determined that the one year-old victim had been stabbed, and that both children had been drowned, the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A continuing investigation revealed that Elkins was responsible for the deaths of both of her children,&#8221; the statement said, without delving into further details into the circumstances surrounding the case.<\/p>\n<p>Elkins was taken into custody at the scene without incident.
