The Upper Shores Branch of the Ocean County Library will host a “Touch a Truck” event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, June 29, to kick off its Summer Reading 2026 program.
Visitors can enjoy crafts, sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge and make new friends at the free event, which will be held at the branch, 112 Jersey City Avenue in Lavallette. The event will include the chance for youngsters to take a tour of local emergency vehicles and other interesting trucks.
The Friends of the Upper Shores Branch will also hold their annual puzzle sale during the event. All proceeds benefit the Friends group, which supports the library through fundraising, programs and advocacy.
The event is free, but registration is required. To register, visit tinyurl.com/TouchATruckUP, call 732-793-3996 or stop by the branch.
