The Lavallette school district will host a Community Water Safety training event in collaboration with the neighboring school districts of Point Pleasant Beach, Point Pleasant Borough, Island Heights, Seaside Heights, Seaside Park, and Berkeley Township.
Superintendent Lisa Gleason said the event will be held Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. at Lavallette Elementary School, 105 Brooklyn Avenue. Part of the “Parent University” program, the evening’s topics will focus on water safety awareness, drowning prevention, and more.
“Whether you’re at the pool, lake, beach, at home or on vacation, knowing how to stay safe around water saves lives,” the event announcement said.
Attendees will also be able to enter a drawing for a $500 ticket package for Breakwater Beach and Casino Pier. The presentation will be made by members of the ZAC Foundation, New Jersey Swim Safety Alliance, and Lavallette schools.
