Lavallette officials this week announced the pricing for beach badges for the 2026 summer season, as well as the start date for pre-season sales in time for the holidays.
The borough’s beach badge pricing will largely remain the same, with the exception of a $5 increase for senior citizen badges. Season badges will be $60 each while Senior Season badges will be $25 each. After May 4, 2026, the price of a general season badge will rise to $65, but the Senior Season badges will remain $25. Parking stickers will remain at $15 for the 2026 season, though they will not be sold during the pre-season period.
Pre-season badge sales begin Dec. 1 and will last through Dec. 31. They will be available for sale from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on three Saturdays in December (the 6th, 13th and 20th) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The badges will be for sale at borough hall. Parking stickers will likely be ready for sale in February or March.
Sand Removal Underway
In other beach news, sand that has piled up at beach entrances from a series of northeast storms is being removed by the borough, Councilman David Finter said, but the process has been a bit “tedious” due to the need for crews to remove it by hand in some cases. Machinery can perform much of the sand removal, he said, but crews must work to remove all of it manually. On streets where Mobi-Mats have been installed, the entire removal process must be completed manually since machinery can damage the mats.
Sand is also being removed from some streets where it piled up after the recent storms, Finter said.
