Brick police responded to a shooting in the Briar Mills apartment complex in the Herbertsville section of town Saturday night, police said.
According to Sergeant James Kelly, multiple shots were fired at about 11:30 PM and one man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. The shooting occurred at 187 Briar Mills Drive.
Police arrived to find an 18-year old victim, identified as Jaquill Johnson. Johnson had sustained a single gunshot wound in his right leg, according to police. Johnson was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening, Kelly said.

There were no other injuries reported. No arrests have been made at this time, and the weapon was not recovered, Kelly said.
A coordinated investigation involving the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office and the Brick Police Department is ongoing.
