A contractor for New Jersey Natural Gas will begin a repaving project later this month following an infrastructure project that has been completed, Seaside Park officials announced this week.

J.F. Kiely will commence milling and paving between May 19 and May 23, pending weather conditions. This work, conducted on behalf of New Jersey Natural Gas Company, aims to restore the roadway affected by the recent gas line installation. The streets affected include:

  • Farragut Avenue & Decatur Avenue (Between N. Bayview Avenue and Lake Avenue)
  • Lake Avenue (Between Farragut Avenue and Lafayette Avenue)

The borough’s announcement said detours and ‘no parking’ signs would be placed before the work begins. Residents of the streets affected are asked that they do not park on the street between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Roads being worked-on may be closed, and drivers are asked to park on adjacent streets overnight, if necessary.
