Beach badge sales in Ortley Beach were up in 2025 despite some concerns that a beach replenishment project – as well as foul weather on key weekends – would eat into revenue.
Toms River Township released its numbers for the season as part of a council meeting agenda published Wednesday. In 2025, beach badge sales totaled $701,930, up from $668,317 in 2024. August badge sales alone rose from $60,145 to $72,509 between the two seasons.
Likewise, the township’s golf course at Bey Lea has seen an increase in revenue. Year-to-date, Bey Lea has generated $1,790,774 in revenue compared to $1,660,911 for the same period in 2024.
