Seaside Heights is one of the few Jersey Shore towns that will be continuing to staff lifeguards on a full-time schedule through this week, and will continue service on weekends through two weekends of September.
According to a statement from the borough, Beach Patrol will be on-duty daily through Sept. 7, and thereafter, lifeguard crews will staff a smaller number of locations between Dupont Avenue and Hiering Avenue on Sept. 13, 14, 20 and 21st – two Saturdays and Sundays.
Beach cashiers will sell daily wristbands on Sept. 6, 7, 13, and 14. Beach attendants will be checking coolers and bags as they normally do throughout the summer. Borough officials have advised visitors to stay out of the water when lifeguards are not on duty, and to swim only where a lifeguard is monitoring the surf.
