Seaside Park held its first public outreach meeting on the potential annexation of South Seaside Park this week (a full story on the lengthy meeting is forthcoming), which was well-attended to the point where the council chambers reached capacity. For that reason, a second meeting on the topic will be held at a different venue to ensure all attendees can be accommodated.
Borough Administrator Karen Kroon said the next meeting, at which the public can ask questions about the process and its pros and cons, will be held Monday, Nov. 24, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the Tri-Boro First Aid Squad building. Tri-Boro is located at 61 J Street.
The purpose of the meetings is to hold Community Listening Sessions to allow the public an opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed annexation of South Seaside Park, the announcement said. The sessions will include a brief presentation by Government Strategies Group, a consulting firm hired by the borough to analyze the ramifications of the annexation, followed by a public comment session.
