Lavallette officials added two new weekend dates for pre-season beach badge sales as the 2026 summer season draws closer. Meanwhile, sales slightly trail those at the same time last year.

Councilman Michal Stogdill said this week that the borough had generated $255,520 in beach badge revenue so far during its pre-season sales effort. At the same time last year, about $285,000 worth of badges had been sold. But despite the slight dip, officials said they still expected sales to be higher in 2026 assuming the anomaly of foul weather weekends to start the season is avoided this year.

Meanwhile, the borough has added two more dates for pre-season badge sales: Saturday April 18 and Saturday April 25. The badges will be sold inside borough hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Badges are sold on weekdays during normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Season badges are $60 at pre-season pricing, and $25 for seniors ages 65 and over. After May 1, season badges will be sold at their regular price of $65. Weekly badges this year are priced at $40 and daily badges will cost $13.
