The “Pick Up Brick” environmental program will host a community cleanup at the Riverwalk Refuge on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
The event is open to individuals, families, businesses, nonprofits, schools, community groups and neighborhood associations. Organizers said participants will have the chance to make a visible difference and take pride in helping maintain the beauty of Brick Township. All supplies will be provided. Volunteers need only bring their enthusiasm and a willingness to help.
The Riverwalk Refuge is located on Mantoloking Road, approximately one-third of a mile east of the intersection of Mantoloking Road and Church Road. It is named in honor of Walter Durrua, a lifelong conservationist and businessman who was best known for starting the iconic “Jersey Paddler” store in Brick.
