Hydrant Flushing to Begin in Seaside Park Monday

Seaside Park officials are reminding residents that the time of year has come to fire hydrant flushing in the borough.

According to an announcement from town hall, the Water Department will be conducting its semi-annual flushing of the borough’s water distribution system on Monday, May 5 through Friday, May 9.

“Residents may notice a temporary discoloration of their water or a slight decrease in water pressure as a result of opening the hydrants,” the notice said. “Flushing the system twice per year improves the quality of the water and tests the fire hydrants for proper operation.”
