One of Brick Township’s Wawa locations is planning to update the exterior of the building and add EV chargers to the parking lot.
According to a filing with the township’s planning board, the changes are being proposed for the Wawa location at 383 Drum Point Road. The company is proposing to install a canopy, four electric vehicle charging stations that will support eight EV charging parking spaces, along with an electric transformer and power distribution equipment. The addition of the EV spaces will come alongside related site improvements to the outdoor of the business, including lighting, landscaping, and signage at the existing Wawa.
The property is located in the township’s village zone. The planning board will hear details and vote on its approval at the May 27, 2026 board meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. at the township municipal complex.
