The Brick branch of the Ocean County Library will host a talk on heart health in observance of American Heart Month, recognized each year since a Presidential proclamation was signed in 1964.
Community Outreach Pharmacist Barbara Greenberg Schwartz will discuss the top five heart medication classes and their functions. She will also answer questions about the heart medications people in the audience take, library officials said.
The talk is the result of a partnership between the library and The Center for Healthy Aging at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus to discuss heart disease prevention strategies and treatments.
