County detectives and Brick police officers raided the home at 638 Hillside Avenue in Brick June 23, seizing drugs and arresting one man for drug distribution.
The 1:50 p.m. execution of a “no-knock” search warrant by Ocean County Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group, Northern Enforcement Unit and the Brick Township Police Department resulted in the arrest of Morris Leon “Pudgy” Howard, 39, who lived at the targeted residence. The arrest came after authorities say they seized approximately 60 grams of cocaine, a quantity of Xanax along with assorted drug paraphernalia including packaging materials and a digital scale. Police also seized approximately $15,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
Howard was charged with possession of Xanax, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine over one half ounce with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Superior Court Judge Wendel E. Daniels set bail at $100,000 cash.
