Brick Township’s police department is planning its annual National Night Out celebration for Tuesday.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with 100.1 WJRZ at Windward Beach Park. The department will have numerous displays and exhibits designed to educate residents about law enforcement and what they are doing to protect the community, said Sgt. Larry Petrola.
For Kids Night, various organizations and businesses that serve young people will be on hand to host games and distribute information to families. The highlight of the evening is the graduation ceremony of the annual Police Camp.

“It’s an opportunity for all citizens to reinforce an already great relationship between the community and their police department. Come out and enjoy the night and let the bad guys know we work together,” said Chief Nils R. Bergquist.
The night will feature displays of police equipment, games, slides, face painting and a K9 officer demonstration.
