Brick Man Charged in String of Burglaries That Netted $117K

A Brick Township man is one of three who have been arrested by New Jersey State Police in a string of burglaries that occurred in Millstone Township, Monmouth County.

Thomas Ditre, 23, of Brick, was arrested alongside Dean Lombardi, 23, of Jackson and Tomas Sinkevicius, 20, of Howell, in eight residential burglaries that resulted in approximately $117,000 worth of stolen jewelry and property, and a stolen .22 caliber handgun, police said.

State Police detectives from the Troop “C” Criminal Investigations Office, with assistance from Hamilton substation troopers and officers from the Manalapan Police Department, were able to develop the three men as the main suspects for a string of burglaries that began Sept. 17 and ended Oct. 30, according to state police.

After Manalapan officers arrested Lombardi after stopping his car Oct. 31, detectives linked Ditre and Sinkevicius to the burglaries, authorities said.

Ditre, the Brick man, was charged Nov. 4 at the Ocean County Jail, where he was lodged on unrelated charges, and on Monday, Nov. 24, Sinkevicius was arrested and charged at Hamilton substation.

Ditre was charged with six counts of burglary and theft, unlawful possession of a weapon, and certain persons not to possess a firearm. He was served complaints at Ocean County Jail. Bail was set at $50,000 cash.

Lombardi was charged with eight counts of burglary and theft, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and certain persons not to possess a weapon. He was lodged at Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $150,000 cash bail.

Sinkevicius was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary for allegedly driving the suspects to and from a burglarized residence. He was served a summons complaint and released pending a future court date.
