A 26-year-old Brick man is wanted by local police after they say he fled from a traffic stop over outstanding warrants.
Lakewood police identified the man, Justin Schneider, following the 11:15 p.m. incident that occurred Thursday night. Lakewood Officer Kevin Seunath encountered a group of men walking along Country Club Drive after receiving a complaint of suspicious activity from a concerned citizen, police said in a statement.
Schneider, who had an outstanding traffic warrant out of East Orange, “immediately stood up and fled on foot across four lanes of traffic on County Line Road,” police said. Seunath, as well as Officer Kevin Bell, gave chase but lost sight of him in a residential backyard.

Additional charges have been filed against Schneider for resisting arrest by flight, aggravated assault on a police officer and obstruction. Bail was set at $15,000 by Municipal Court Judge Scott Basen.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Schneider is urged to contact Detective Sgt. Staffordsmith at 732-363-0200, extension 5318.
