Tiki Bar Bruised, But Still Standing After Storm

A social media post led many Shore residents to believe a popular local nightspot suffered serious damage during Monday’s nor’easter.

The bar, however, said in its own social media post Tuesday that the damage was just minor and would be ready for its reopening in March. On Tuesday, waves could be seen crashing underneath the bar’s pier decking, and some pieces of wood, structure and other debris were blowing in the sand, but the business remained intact and ready to serve patrons again come spring.
