Daniel Woska, a longtime member of the Brick Township Board of Education and once served as its president, has died, officials said.
The current board president, Stephanie Wohlrab, announced Woska’s passing and spoke about his contributions to the district at a board meeting late last week. Woska, who was 63, died April 24 at his home.
“He had profound positive impacts on the district’s students, staff, faculty, and taxpayers, not only for his long tenure [as a board member], but in his many years since,” said Wohlrab. “The Brick community is forever grateful for his service, and efforts advancing Brick schools.”

According to an obituary published in the newspaper, Woska worked as a civil engineer most recently for CCA Civil in Morristown. He was active at Visitation Roman Catholic Church in town, where he was a church school teacher for 33 years.
The family requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 43 years Sandy; his sons, Daniel Joseph Jr., Kevin Michael, Eric Christopher and Justin Robert; his daughter, Breanna Elizabeth; his brothers, Robert, David and Joseph; his sister, Carol Reynolds; his two granddaughters and seven grandsons.
