Brick’s Newest Wawa Open for Business (Two More Are Planned)

Brick Township’s newest Wawa store – there is still another under construction and a third planned – opened Thursday on Route 70 and Duquesne Boulevard, the site of a shopping center that was approved by the township’s planning board in 2017.

Mayor John Ducey as well as council members Heather DeJong, Vince Minichino and Paul Mummolo attended the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the store, formally located at 535 Rt. 70.

Wawa, according to township officials, gave back to the community by donating $1,000 to each of the following organizations: the Brick Township Police Department, The Brick Township Fire Department and POAC Autism Services. Police Chief James Ricco will be giving the Police Department donation to the Brick Rotary Club.

Wawa is also in the process of building an additional store at the intersection of Route 88 and Jack Martin Boulevard. The company has also had a plan approved by the township to construct a new store and fuel station on Lanes Mill Road where an older store currently exists.
