Explore The Magnificent, Colorful Side of F-Cove You Never See

F-Cove is known for its legendary status as a boaters’ party spot. A Saturday in the cove can get wild at times, but we all know it’s in good fun.

The land around F-Cove is part of the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge (the waterway is considered state jurisdiction). The “F” shape of the cove is man-made, and was supposed to form the front and backyards – and even streets – of a lagoon community off Mantoloking Road in Brick. But the developer never got the project off the ground. Brick Township eventually acquired the land for preservation and ultimately transferred it to the federal government.

After the water temperatures get chilly and the leaves start to change, few boaters bother entering F-Cove, but that doesn’t mean the good times are over – they’ve just changed. The other side of F-Cove shows off some local beauty, and we captured some of it over the course of the last few weeks while the fall leaves were at their peak. We hope you enjoy.
