Reminder: Spring Leaf Collections Begin This Week in Brick

Brick Township’s spring leaf collections begin this week for residents of several neighborhoods.

Each year, the township holds both spring and fall collections of leaves. The schedule of the pickups is linked to one’s recycling schedule. The 2022 spring leaf collections will be completed in the following order:

• If your recycling day is Wednesday, your collection period is April 4 – April 6.
• If your recycling day is Thursday, your collection period is April 7 – April 11.
• If your recycling day is Friday, your collection period is April 12 – April 14.
• If your recycling day is Monday, your collection period is April 15 – April 19.
• If your recycling day is Tuesday, your collection period is April 20 – April 22.

The township has asked residents to have their leaves at the curbside by 6 a.m. on the first day of their collection period. Only leaves in bags will be collected. Bags must not weigh more than 50-pounds each. Do not put branches, twigs or debris in bags.

Leaves can be brought to the Brick Public Works Recycling Center anytime during regular hours (Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). Leaves can also be brought to the Public Works Recycling Center during any regular hours of business and the Ocean County Recycling Center, New Hampshire Avenue, Lakewood.
