Brick Township council members on Tuesday night voted in favor of proceeding with three roadway repaving projects in town. Two of the projects will be put out to bid, and the third has already gone through the bidding process and was contracted for completion.
The council awarded a $551,399 contract to Meco Inc., of Clarksburg, to complete the Riviera Beach Phase III contract in the Herbertsville portion of the township. The repaving project will provide for fresh asphalt, drainage and curb repairs on Jefferson, Lincoln and Madison courts, as well as 20th Avenue, 21st Avenue, 22nd Avenue, 23rd Avenue and Walnut Drive. Residents will be notified as to when their streets will be under construction.
The council voted to solicit bids for the Cherry Quay improvement project. This includes paving and drainage improvements for Captains Drive, Captains Court, Court Road, Seagoin Road, Starboard Road, Wake Place, Bark Road and Boom Lane.
