The Ocean County Library will present an authentic Polynesian Luau show at three branches in May, including Brick Township, the county-wide system announced.
The shows coincide with Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, celebrated in May. The event is designed for all ages by Paradise Island Entertainment, and will feature costumes and choreography from the large Pacific island group, live hula dancers and musicians, and authentic Tahitian drummers.
Attendees will also enjoy interactive Polynesian cultural activities, including brief lessons in the native Hawaiian language, Hula and Tahitian dance, and New Zealand Poi Ball spinning.
