The Brick Township Police Department will offer a seven-day youth camp for children ages 11 to 13 this summer, a particularly popular program in town. Enrollment in the in-demand program is limited and selection is done through a lottery.
Camp activities include physical training, military etiquette, K-9 interactions, team building exercises, positive interaction with police officers from all different units within the BTPD, simulated police pursuit driving and trips to other police agencies. The Police Camp Graduation Ceremony is held during the Annual Night Out Against Crime celebration.
Camper must be able to perform rigorous physical activities and adhere to strict disciplinary policies. They are required to wear khaki shorts or slacks and sneakers. T-shirts and hats will be provided. Campers must bring their own lunch.
