A township tradition that has grown significantly in recent years, the annual “Kite Fest” will return to Brick Township’s oceanfront this weekend.
Brick Township’s Recreation Department will host the annual festival on Saturday, Set. 9 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Brick Beach III.
KiteFest will feature kite flying professional demonstrations by Sky Festival Productions as well as many other fun activities. Admission to KiteFest is free, and is sponsored by Pine Belt Cars.
Sky Festival Productions is considered a leader in creating kite festivals and has produced events both domestically and internationally. The company produced Brick Township’s festival last year to rave reviews, and featured giant kites ranging from cartoon characters to immensely-sized whales to performance kites that zip across the sky performing acrobatics.
