The Mayor’s Student Advisory Committee will host the annual Brick Hero Awards celebration this Friday, an event designed to honor Brick residents and business that exhibit “a remarkable effort to make the community a better place in ways small and large.”
The ceremony is being held on Friday, March 8 in the auditorium of Brick Township High School, 346 Chambers Bridge Road. The event will begin at 7 p.m., with doors open at 6:30 p.m. It will include performances by BTHS and BMHS choir and drama clubs, and the Brick Dance Team. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door; $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. All proceeds from the event benefit The Mayor’s Student Advisory and the Lounge 270 Teen Center.
“It’s our everyday heroes that really make the difference in our community,” Mayor Lisa Crate said. “People looking out for each other and caring for one another is just one of the many things that makes Brick Township so special.”
