The suspect in the robbery of a Santander Bank branch in Brick Township has been released from jail pending trial, court records showed.
Andrew Borbotko III, 44, of Lakewood, was charged last week in connection with the robbery of the Santander Bank branch on Beaverson Boulevard that occurred July 24. He was captured after photographs from surveillance cameras were shared on social media.
A warrant was issued for Andrew Borbotko’s arrest in connection with the robbery on July 26, 2024, which ultimately resulted in Borbotko turning himself in without incident. Borbotko was processed and logged into the Ocean County Jail, but freed under the terms of New Jersey’s bail reform law.

Borbotko was arrested after a joint investigation by Brick police, the county prosecutor’s office and sheriff’s office, as well as the Pennsylvania State Police and FBI.
