The concession building at Brick Beach III will reopen to the public this season after being shuttered for structural maintenance and periodic improvements.
Last summer, with the building closed, the township council awarded a one-time contract to Little Caesar’s Pizza to operate a stand at the township’s largest public ocean beach. This year, more traditional oceanside fare will return in its usual take-away window.
The council awarded the contract to operate the concession stand to Castaway Kitchen, based in Brick, for $16,202.

In December 2024, the council awarded a $245,702 contract to George Koustas Painting and Construction, of West Long Branch, to complete the work on the concession building at Beach III, which also includes bathrooms and lifeguard offices. The project mainly covered the replacement of concrete columns that support the roof structure of portions of the building, as well as the repair of attic vents and soffit vents. The work also included the replacement of glass block windows, plus repairs to masonry and the building’s cedar siding.
