Brick Township’s first Shake Shack restaurant will open its doors to customers next week, the company announced Tuesday.
The Shake Shack restaurant is located next to the First Watch restaurant, which just opened to customers as well, in the ShopRite-Kohl’s plaza. The fast casual chain will open on Wednesday, May 7 at 11 a.m. The Brick location marks the 25th New Jersey Shake Shack, the company said.
Shake Shack’s Brick location will offer guests “in-Shack” dining and will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The restaurant will fill the space of a former Santander Bank branch in the shopping center, which is formally known as “Brick Commons.”

Founded as a hot dog cart inside Manhattan’s Madison Square Park in 2001, Shake Shack has grown to 262 locations in the United States and 144 locations abroad. The restaurant, of course, serves award-winning shakes, but specializes in casual American fare, including burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, hot dogs, and frozen custards. The beverage menu is traditionally customized for each location.
On opening day, the first wave of guests can expect to receive custom Shake Shack stickers, the company said. The Brick location will also donate $1 for every sandwich sold at the Shack on May 6 to Fulfill Food Bank – supporting their work to “fulfill the needs of the community and win the battle against hunger.”
The address of the restaurant is 614B Route 70, Brick Township, N.J.
