This July, the Ocean County Library will be seeking local residents’ donations of new, packaged toiletries and personal care items for children and teens in need.
Along with the usual donations of books, during the month of July, OCL’s Sparks B.F.F. Reading Club (named for the library’s mascot, Sparks) is collecting summer-themed toiletries donations. The Sparks B.F.F. Reading Club Summer Toiletries Drive will be centered in six OCL branches, including Brick Township.
The most-needed items include hair combs and brushes, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, insect repellent, sunglasses, sunscreen, reusable water bottles, flip-flop sandals, soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste.
