Man Caught in Brick With Car Full of Drugs Pleads Guilty, Faces Prison Term

A man arrested by Brick police officers who suspected drug-related activity may serve up to five years in prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute narcotics.

Brandon Torsiello, 25, of Hazlet, was arrested by officers with the department’s Street Crimes Unit on March 6, 2025 after they saw him in an unidentified parking lot participating in what appeared to be a drug transaction. As Torsiello exited the parking lot in his motor vehicle, detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop on his vehicle, after which an Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K9 alerted to drugs inside.

Torsiello was taken into custody and transported to Brick Township Police Headquarters. A subsequent search of his person at police headquarters yielded quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, Xanax, and suboxone. Torsiello was charged accordingly and transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he has been detained since that date. Detectives later executed a court-authorized search warrant on Torsiello’s vehicle which yielded additional quantities of cocaine and “assorted controlled dangerous substances.”

He is due to be sentenced Dec. 5, 2025, with prosecutors intending to seek a five year stint in a New Jersey state prison. He remains lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending sentencing.
